Simpson Thacher advised Mercuria Investment Co., Ltd. (“Mercuria”) in connection with the formation of the Mercuria II Series Funds, which closed on September 30, 2023 with aggregate capital commitments of ¥43.85 billion. The Mercuria II Series Funds are the second Japan buyout fund series served or managed by Mercuria and their first with non-Japanese investors.
